Green Tip #118: Use Plants For Clean Air

Just over the weekend we put our first plant in our sun room. I grew up with lots of plants in the house, especially in our bay window. However I did not grow up with cats, who tend to like to eat plants! So Sustainable PF installed a hook and that is where the beautiful plant I received for my birthday this year now hangs. The cats stare at it but I really don’t think there is any way they can get at it! House plants are a great, inexpensive and green way to purify the air in your home, especially in one as air tight as ours. In the summer, you can out them outside, but its so nice to have that touch of green and maybe even some winter blooms in the cold months.

  1. We can’t have any plants inside because of our 3 cats. Zoey in particular wreck havoc on any plant or flowers. I guess that saves me from having to buy a lot of flowers for the Mrs. :D
