Green Tip #149: Reduce the Load

Another automotive tip to help you save gas and improve gas mileage: Reduce the Load.  Simply put, don’t pull unnecessay weight in, behind or on your car.  There is no need to keep the cargo box full or to keep your trailer hooked to the rear of your vehicle.  And why keep the trunk full when you don’t need the stuff in there?  Added weight means your engine has to work harder to pick up and maintain speed.  So reduce vehicle drag and reduce the load and you will save on gas.
