If you’re like me and have those wooden antiques that have been in the family for generations and you want to keep them looking new, you should try making your own furniture polish. Not only will it save you money but it also greener than the store bought versions. Plus it smells great. Here is a simple recipe that I have used that works wonders:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 TSP. olive or jojoba oil
Mix the ingredients in a glass jar (preferably dark blue to protect it from light). Dab a soft rag into the solution and wipe onto wood surfaces. Cover the glass jar and store indefinitely.
Viola, you now have shiny clean wooden furniture and you didn’t have to inhale any chemicals in the process.
