As you know we use ceiling fans in our home year round to provide air circulation. A good thing to remember about fans is you only should run them when people and/or pets are in the rooms they are installed in. Fans perform air circulation and that air cools people and pets off that happen to be in the room. Otherwise the fans just use up power.

Agreed SB. Two of the rooms in our house are not wired for any kind of fixture on the ceiling so we use floor fans.
