Green Tip #197: Reuse Old Nalgenes

We’ve had much discussion on a previous tip regarding water in the car. We choose to use stainless steel water bottles in the car, at work and at play mostly because they do not contain BPA and they keep the water cold longer than plastic. So if you are like me and have some old Nalgene bottles that you do not want to drink from anymore yet do not want to recycle just yet, there are other things you can use them for. These hefty bottles can be used as watering cans for your non-edible plants. They can store elastic bands, clothes pegs, pens, screwdrivers, etc. You will save on storage containers and keep your life a bit more organized.
