I cannot believe it but I have already starting seeing back to school commercials on TV… August only just started! While I love back to school shopping it can be quite expensive and I always tried to reuse leftover supplies from the previous school year. The best item to do this with is notebooks. Only once in all my years of schooling did I use an entire notebook for one course. So I would pull out the used pages and recycle them and then use the notebook for another course.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a standard notebook for all classes. There must be 500 versions! Checking with the teacher may reveal what the child needs for each class.
This time we’re referring to the notebook that the student takes notes in. One size should fit all, right?
Not necessarily. First there is wide ruled and college ruled. And notebooks contain a variety of different numbers of pages. Some very thin…some quite thick.
I think we were thinking more about highschool/college where the notebooks tend to be quite similar. If one holds more paper, all the better! More book to re-use.
Such a good point. We have a bunch of half used notebooks around here.
