We have a family heirloom china cabinet in our dining room. At the moment it is jam packed with lots of items but I know I have to do some broken china management to do. I don’t want to just throw these items in the trash because that seems such a waste for beautiful crystal glasses and vintage tea cups. Instead I’ve learned that you can make things with the broken china like mosaic tiles. So perhaps I will start stock piling the broken china to use when we eventually tile the new kitchen space.

Another great idea! I’m really enjoying your tip-a-day series. Regarding old china, the company Vintage Revivalcreates beautiful custom jewelry pieces out of old pieces of family china.
