How To Start Your Own Finance Blog

If you have a deep interest in finance—and you likely do if you’re reading this blog—you may eventually reach a point where you want to share your own knowledge and experience. Starting a blog is easy enough if you have the motivation, but maintaining a blog takes total dedication. Finance blogs are popular for many reasons. Observations From CPFC12

What a conference!  I now "get" why our American blogger friends rave so much about FINCON.  CPFC12, held in Toronto Ontario, was a smashing success thanks to Preet Banerjee and Krystal Yee who organized this awesome conference.  The facilities, speakers, panels and events were all fantastic.  I have a number of observations I want to share with SPF readers.  This was a conference first and foremost about Finance.  Sure, blogging was a topic as well but it was not the sole focus.  People in Canada have a true need to understand more about their personal finances and it was great to see some of…

As some of you will have picked up from reading our Weekend Reading articles, I read a lot of different blogs and often comment on the articles that peak my interest.  In our Weekend Reading we've highlighted a large number of blogs both big and small, personal finance and lifestyle.  I wanted to discuss my favourite blogs with a few words as to why I enjoy these writers. Million Dollar Journey This great personal finance blog written by Frugal Trader is one of the first personal finance blogs I read when I decided I needed to get keenly interested in…
